Holiday and short-stay apartments in Bahar, JBR
Bahar was part of the first wave of Jumeirah Beach Residence, one of the six clusters the development started with. Its towers stand with the beach on one side and The Walk on the other, so the sea is close in a very literal way.
We manage a small group of apartments here, spread across more than one Bahar tower. Below is what the cluster is like day to day, what our flats tend to be, and who we think gets the most out of a stay here.

Nightly prices are before taxes: 5% VAT and, in Dubai, the Tourism Dirham fee are added and listed line by line before you send a request. A refundable security deposit may apply.

Day to day inside the cluster
Everyone staying in the towers shares the same set of facilities. There's a swimming pool, a gym, jogging tracks, a children's play area and a BBQ area. Retail outlets within the cluster cover the small things you run out of, and security is on duty around the clock.
Allocated parking comes with the apartments. That's useful if you plan to hire a car for trips further out.
Be clear about what Bahar is, though. It's a residential cluster first. People live here year-round, the pool is shared, and at busy times you won't have the facilities to yourself. If you're after hotel-style service, this isn't that.
What our apartments here are like
Most of what we have in Bahar is two-bedroom, with enough space that a family, or a few friends travelling together, can spread out without getting under each other's feet. We usually have a one-bedroom too, which suits a couple who want a proper living space rather than a hotel room.
No two of our Bahar flats look out on quite the same thing. One of ours has a balcony looking towards the marina rather than the open sea, for example. If a sea view matters to you, say so when you send us your dates and we'll tell you honestly which apartments have one.
Who it suits
Families do well here: beach beside the towers, a pool, a play area and two-bedroom space. Groups of friends sharing a larger flat do too. If you're staying longer than a short break, the gym, jogging tracks and BBQ area make it easier to keep a normal routine.
If you want somewhere remote and quiet, a beachfront cluster next to The Walk is probably the wrong pick.
Questions people ask
How close is the beach?
Very. Bahar's towers sit on the beach, with The Walk running along the other side. How much sea you see from inside depends on which tower and which side of the building you're in, so ask us if that's important.
Is there parking if I hire a car?
Yes. Your apartment has its own allocated space, so you won't be circling around looking for somewhere to leave the car. Let us know you're bringing a car when you enquire so we can give you the details for your apartment.
Is Bahar a good choice with children?
It's one of the easier places in JBR to stay with kids. The cluster has a play area and a shared pool, the beach is right there, and security is on duty 24/7. Our two-bedroom apartments are the better fit for families because everyone gets more room.
